OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditors Course

OHSAS 18001 is a safety management specification that controls the company's safety actions and activities as prescribed by national legislation on Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S). It covers the the same area as ILO-OHS and provides a company with a auditable measurement of its O&HS activities, records and continual improvement.

The Lead Auditor Course requires 40 hours of study over five days.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Personnel involved in Occupational Health and Safety – Safety Consultancy - Insurers – National Administrations – Classification Societies – Ports and Port Corporations – Terminal Operators –  Port Security - Maritime Training Colleges and other related Organisations.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED?

An understanding of OH&S legislation is beneficial but not essential.  However, in order to conduct Assessments against the above criteria, IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors) have defined qualifications for Auditors/Assessors and by attending this Course OH&S audit qualifications are obtained.  Information regarding these requirements will be explained during the Course.

WHAT IS THE COST?
